TBLCP is a selective year-long leadership program allied with the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston that teaches students practical professionalism, decision making, public speaking, and communication skills, and enhances students' ability to harness their strengths in leadership. The students meet once a week for 1.5 hours.

The certificate also requires 30 hours of community service.

I am a part of the Challenge Cohort, the only one of four total cohorts to accept students based on GPA and previous leadership experience.

StrengthsQuest is a tool created by Gallup Education Practice that identifies peoples' strengths. As a part of the program, I took the 177-question assessment and received the following results.

1. Strategic
"People who are especially talented in the Strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues. "

2. Communicator
"People who are especially talented in the Communication theme generally find it easy to put their thoughts into words. They are good conversationalists and presenters."

3. Individualization
"People who are especially talented in the Individualization theme are intrigued with the unique qualities of each person. They have a gift for figuring out how people who are different can work together productively."
